One of the reasons that Ambiance™ C o n f e c t i o n s are so satisfying is that they contain 5 grams per serving of high quality protein. That is, about 5 grams in 28 grams, which is 18% protein. That compares favorably with other vegan sources of protein, such as hummus (8%), soy tofu (8 to 13%), or nuts (21%).

The protein in Ambiance™ C o n f e c t i o n s comes from cacao, hemp hearts, and either cashews or almonds. This combination of ingredients provides a complete protein. (Well nearly complete: The lysine is a bit low, but it is very close to ideal.)

In addition, hemp hearts are high in the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs): isoleucine, leucine, and valine. The BCAAs have been found to have the following benefits:
